One of my goals for life is to learn to cook well enough to be able to take care of myself in case restaurants go extinct around the year 2031. And, also, to eat healthier and more delicious meals (I could survive on candy alone, but it's no way to live!). So, the past two nights, I cooked up this little number - whole wheat pasta with olives, sun-dried tomatoes, ricotta and garlic:
And, guess what? It was DELICIOUS! Finally, I made something - other than eggs, which I can cook like nobody's biznaz - that tasted good!
Sure, I got burned a bit when the oil started jumping around in the pan (I actually yelled out "ahhh!" a few times and backed away from the pan in fear).

And, okay, perhaps I should've actually cut up all those garlic cloves (turns out, the recipe only called for 1 clove. I put about 10).

But, this was one of my first real kitchen successes! Now, on to tonight's dinner... Fiber One pancakes (uh oh, fiber)! Photo to follow...
